What is the difference between Raw Footage on a USB or a hard drive?

The footage on a hard drive is uncompressed (original quality), and the footage on the USB is compressed.

In a sense, both the hard drive (HDD) and USB are the same - neither are edited nor colored. The compression process for USBs can cause slight loss in quality, although it's not noticeable to most people. The HDD does not compress the files, so you are getting exactly the same footage that our editors use.

The files on the HDD come straight from the camera, which provides the highest quality; however, these files are often very large and can sometimes be in file formats not supported by all computers.
When compressing the files for the USB, we make the file size smaller and also convert them to the standard format for video files. The USB is more commonly requested for this reason; your Raw Footage should play on your computer without a hitch!
