What is a documentary edit?

The Documentary Edit is more similar to a home video than a documentary film on Netflix.

The Documentary Edit is a raw footage style cut of your entire ceremony from start to finish, and all the key parts of your reception put together. The purpose of this film is to give you the opportunity to watch all these big moments in real-time just as they happened on the day itself.

The Documentary Edit has no additional voiceover or background music added during editing. The audio in the film is exactly what you would have heard on the big day and is the ideal way to relive these biggest parts of your wedding.

This film includes the entire ceremony, special dances, speeches, toasts, cake cutting, bouquet toss, and any other big stand-alone moments you choose to do such as a first look, reading letters, or maybe interviews. It does NOT include B-roll such as photo sessions, open dancing, or detail shots. This film varies in length depending on your day’s unique timeline. Whatever the pieces add up to be, that’s the length of the film.

The Documentary Edit Film per your contract includes your full ceremony, reception introduction, speeches, first dance, parent dances, cake cutting and bouquet/garter toss if you do one. It does not include getting ready, decor, cocktail hour, photo session, general guest footage, or open dancing footage.
